At least 11,022 Catholic priests accused of raping children in the US alone

Summary:

Catholic church produced documents show that at least 11,022 Catholic priests have been accused of raping children in the United States, all in unforgivable defiance of Jesus in Matt 18:6-14.

If you’re looking for excuses instead of victims, the devil loves you.

Details:

The Catholic church ADMITTED 4,392 substantiated, accused child sex offending priests in the Catholic church’s own John Jay report of 2004, and that’s just in the US.   No institution in US history is even close.  Of course they lied, and added 6,630 in the USCCB (Catholic Bishops) Schuth report of 2013, Page 10, and that’s just ones they’ve admitted.

Add 4.392 to 6,630 and you get 11,022 child sex offending clery.  Since there were about 100,000 priests over the time of the study, at least 11% of Catholic priests are child sex offenders, and about 60% of those are literally “pedophiles”.

Three issues:

  • These numbers are definitely under-reported.  Catholics make sure that victims aren’t believed, and are humiliated, and most of them won’t come forward.  Most are suicidal anyways, and can’t handle the ridicule.
  • Most of these pedophile priests raped multiple children, and many raped over 100 children
  • The Schuth report does not indicate whether there is overlap between the two numbers, i.e. the 4,392 from the John Jay report and the 6,630 from the Schuth report
  • These are based on accusations.  There is almost never proof of child rape, since all Catholic priests lie about it (unless the Statute Of Limitations has expired), and no one saw them do it, and priests that they “confess” their child rapes to never report it.

No institution is anywhere close, but Catholics will distort the truth to claim it is, usually using “estimates”, “extrapolations”, and guesses.  In other words, just made up numbers.

If you want to “extrapolate”, extrapolate from Boston, where at least 271 out of 1500 priests were pedophiles, so, through extrapolation, 18% of all Catholic priests are pedophiles.

  1. You are misunderstanding the statistics. It’s not 11,022 clergy, it is 11,022 cases (credible accusations) involving clergy. I think that it would be more accurate to state that there are 11,022 victims of sexual abuse.

      1. On what basis do you charge me with lying? You don’t know me or my thoughts, intentions or perceptions.

      2. Now you’re trying to play idiotic Jedi mind games. I know your lies and your thoughts because you just wrote them down in your comments.

You said there were 11,022 “victims” after I proved that there were 11,022 child sex abusing clergy.

Some of these clergy raped over 100 children, like Fr Porter, Fr Geoghan, Fr Murphy, Fr Martinez, and dozens of others.

You’re lying to defend organized child rape, in brutal defiance of Jesus in Matt 18:6-14. Your idiotic Jedi mind games won’t work at your judgement, and you are not forgiven.

  2. Also, your claim of a percentage of pedophiles is wrong. “Pedophilia is defined as the fantasy or act of sexual activity with prepubescent children.” Only 16% of the children were likely pre-pubescent (see slide 28). Your conclusion is therefore wildly inaccurate. Be careful with your words here. Misstatements of facts is also mentally sinful when done with malice aforethought.

      1. The question isn’t whether “they were motivated by pedophilia”. The issue is that they raped children, and the child rapists, their pedophile protecting pals, and the congregation used the power of Catholic god to get away with it.

      2. Are you omniscient enough to absolutely know what you state? Did you attend the trials? Did you read the facts of all of the cases? Did you speak with all, most, many, a small majority, half, a major minority, a minority or even a a few or a couple of the victims and the accused? How much do you really know about the people involved and what transpired and why?

      3. I know the Catholic child rape statistics which are the worst in the western world, I know that it was organized crime approved by the religion, and I’ve talked to dozens of victims.

I also know that most Catholics lie or make excuses to defend their church’s organized pedophilia, like you do.

One blatant lie – your “only 16% were pre-pubescent”. A complete lie, from the father of all lies.

      4. Exactly what the devil would say, as you tries to stop people from doing What Jesus Would Do (Matt 18:6-14). Of course, once I showed you the truth, you just recommend I stop telling the truth.

      5. I think you need to seek professional help. That would be a better use of your time than pummeling me here. Thanks.

      6. I don’t need professional help. I’m doing What Jesus Would Do. Fighting the pedophiles and pedophile protectors (like you) and liars (like you) who say the Catholic church is “God’s church”. You are blatantly, defiantly lying to protect the Catholic church. For your god.

      7. You are fighting the wrong people. I think that you may have a mental disorder. I will have you in my prayers. May God give you healing and peace.

      8. I tell the truth, and you call that a “mental disorder”, because the Catholic will insult others rather than seeking the truth or confronting the truth.

You support a proven child rape club, in BRUTAL defiance of Jesus in Matt 18:6-14. Your mental disorder will send you to hell, according to Jesus.

      9. Your perception of me is extremely distorted, a condition of deeper issues. I pray for your deliverance from evil and your healing. It would be good for you to seek spiritual and psychological help. At least, ask Jesus Christ to enter your mind and heal you of your wounds and strengthen you to help others.

      10. Now that I proved that you lied, you completely avoid the truth. Instead, you start making vague accusations and insults about me.

Jesus said child rape was unforgivable, and you should go out and find every victim (Matt 18:6-14). You do the opposite, and lie about it, and insult others. You have no relationship with Jesus Christ, and He knows.

    1. You’re lying.

Catholics try to make a big deal of changing the cut off age for pedophilia so it doesn’t sound so bad. The key point is that priests were having sex with children too young to say no, in brutal defiance of Jesus in Matt 18:6-14.

Don’t know which “Slide 28” you are referring to, since the one in the Schuth report is too vague, so let’s spell it out for you, and show HOW you’re lying with malice aforethought:

According to the Catholic church’s own voluntary John Jay report, easily found at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Jay_Report, in the 2nd chart,

93.4% of victims were 16 and under
84.8% of victims were 15 and under
73.2% of victims were 14 and under
60% of victims were 13 and under
47.2% of victims were 12 and under
32.6% of victims were 11 and under
22.6% of victims were 10 and under
14.2% of victims were 9 and under
10.2% of victims were 8 and under

so 100 minus 93.4%, or 6.6% were “post pubescent”. Now, where did you have to go to find someone who would lie and say puberty stopped at 9 years old?

      According to Wikipedia on pedophilia,

“As a medical diagnosis, specific criteria for the disorder extend the cut-off point for prepubescence to age 13”, so pedophilia would be 60% of the problem.
As psychiatric diagnosis, the cut off is 11 years old, so the percentage of “pedophilia” would be 32.6%.

If you Google “age of puberty”, the first match, http://www.medicinenet.com/puberty/article.htm says that for boys, puberty goes from 12 to 16, so “post pubescent” is after 16, meaning all but 93.5% was sex with “post pubescent” children.

More importantly, Wikipedia says about pedophilia that “In popular usage, the word pedophilia is often applied to any sexual interest in children or the act of child sexual abuse”, which is really the point.

Of course, only the Catholic would use the “age cut off for the technical term “pedophilia” as an excuse for why having sex with young boys and girls, using the power of God to get away with it, is ok with God, despite Jesus in Matt 18:6.

      1. On what basis can you accuse me of lying? I referred you to the data point that I referenced. How can I be lying if I believe I am restating a data point? You really need to look inward into your soul and ask why you are acting this way. Pray for healing.

      2. I PROVED YOU LIED, using the statistics from the Catholic church’s own John Jay report.

Remember, you are intentionally passing on lies from the father of all lies to defend organized, rampant child rape (which Jesus said was unforgivable in Matt 18:6-14), for the Catholic church, who used the power of God to get away with organized child rape.

As Jesus said, you are not forgiven.

      3. Exactly what the devil would say, as you tries to stop people from doing What Jesus Would Do (Matt 18:6-14). Of course, once I showed you the truth, you just recommend I stop telling the truth.

      4. No, I recommend you pray and seek healing. You are attacking me for something I have not done. Do you understand that you need to pull away from this and pray and maybe seek counseling?

      5. I attacked you for lying, which you did. And you lied, to defend organized child rape in the Catholic church in unforgivable defiance of Jesus in Matt 18:6-14. Of course, the Catholic church is also filthy rich, in brutal defiance of Jesus in Matt 19:21.

And you defend them because you think they are “God’s church”. Now really, who needs counseling?

      6. I think that you may have a mental disorder. I will have you in my prayers. May God give you healing and peace.

      7. I tell the truth, and you say I have a mental disorder. You support a proven child rape club, in BRUTAL defiance of Jesus in Matt 18:6-14. Your mental disorder will send you to hell.

      8. Your perception of me is extremely distorted, a condition of deeper issues. I pray for your deliverance from evil and your healing. It would be good for you to seek spiritual and psychological help. At least, ask Jesus Christ to enter your mind and heal you of your wounds and strengthen you to help others.

  3. To help explain the statistics better, I got this line from Wikipedia pertaining to the abuse period of 1950 to 2002: “The 4,392 priests who were accused amount to approximately 4% of the 109,694 priests in active ministry during that time.” This definitely appears to intend to note a number of different priests, The USCCB’s addition from 2004 to 2013 numbers the allegations, but does not clarify whether it is one allegation per priest or multiple allegations per priest. Would you agree? Also, CARA captures allegations against clergy, not just priests (it can include Deacons too), Finally, I found in the 2013 report by CARA that, in that year alone, of the 370 new allegations, only 2 percent (9 cases) involved persons under the age of 18 while the remainder were made by adults who had been abused years earlier as adults, So, we can not just jump to conclusions and state that there is some massive increase in the rate of clerical abusers today, But we are getting a lot more allegations from people who are coming forward for justice.

    1. The Schuth report, Page 10, documents 6,630 PRIESTS, not victims or allegations, and the priests are classified as “Diocesan” or “Religious”.

The issue isn’t whether the Catholic church has more allegations today. The issue is that they aren’t “God’s church”.

  4. Sorry – I meant adults who had been abused years earlier as children, not as adults. The port is online if you want to read it.

  5. Just so heart breaking to see. The world really has fallen and dealing with a lot of pain and suffering.

      1. I wouldn’t agree with that statement myself. I think it’s important not to create a narrative where there may be isn’t or to create massive generalizations like that.

But it is good to draw attention to information if there is a plan to make better and fill the world with more positive aspects.
